The biggest problem with the team is the management, Stienbrener isn't in it to get to the world series, just paying butts in the seats. Cashman only looks for retreads and has Ben's hoping they have a resurgence. Boone is all hold hands n sing com bi ahh and not call these guys out n light a fire under them. He is the manager not there buddy n needs to act like it. Hal, Cash , n Boone need to call out publicly these pampered millionaires, embarrass them if needed. A vast majority of Judge's and Soto's HRs are solo because everyone else is trying to hit hrs n not get on base for the big guys. Learn your roles n we can win. They don't need to empty the farm to add a big bat, they need a consistent bat at the top of the order to set the table. They need a real K artist at the back end of the bullpen. Holmes is a ground ball guy who gives up to many walks n hits to be a true lights out closer. Maybe even move Gill to the back end of the pen if they are going to limit his innings. This team is poorly constructed because of Hal and Cash. They have no killer instinct because Boone is no Billy Martian. Only hope is the Martian comes back slugging like last year n Stanton comes back n hit like he did in the 1st half. The need a high On base guy that is a threat to steal at the top of the order and a lights out bullpen arm.
