O's traded Austin Hays for Seranthony Dominguez and centerfield glove Cristian Pache. The Mets DFAed pitcher Adrian Houser, who just pitched the final inning of the 12-2 rout of the Yankees on Wednesday. Yanks are almost always in radio silence mode until the dealine, but I'm hearing nothing from them right now. So, which is it, "The prices were too high" or overpaying for the 3rd best hitter/reliever on the market. We will soon know.... Yanks are always linked to every big name and while I'm sure Cash checks in, some of them seem unrealistic based on our budget, prospect pool or some combination of both. I sometimes get the impression he hangs around hoping the price will drop and during the interim misses out on tier two players who could help.

If the Mets DFAed pitcher Adrian Houser. I'm sure Trashman will be all over that trying to resurrect him.

Can we keep Devers in the yard this series?

Can we keep Devers in the yard this series? With our SP hoping to limit to only 1 a night,

The O's just filled in a hole in their rotation with control specialist Zac Eflin, they traded three prospects (with Longerhagen ratings in Parenthese from his O's farm system report of about a month ago): Starting pitch Jackson Baumeister (No. 12 at Fangraphs), outfielder Mac Horvath (No. 25), and AA OF Matthew Etzel (not in the O's top 45).
Well, at least they didn't get Garrett Crochet. Yet.

I'm at work right now listening to my Luke Combs station on Pandora. Do I switch over to the Yankee game or just relax to my music?

OK, no Paul O'Neill tonight, but they do have Girardi and Coney, and that's not bad.

Rays reacted to the team throwing in the towel by trading away Eflin and Arozarena. From what I read, they're supposed to get SP Springs back, but Pepiot just went on the IL with a knee infection. In the outfield, I suppose they can use DeLuca and DeLuca and Josh Lowe more out there.
