If the team is looking for Stanton to be their savior, just remember this guy needs about 2 months of playing time before he gets his timing to what it was before his injuries take place. By the way, you do a great job holding down the fort here with your play by play each game. Much appreciated, thank you! As loss piles upon loss, it gets tougher day by day. It’s a lot more fun when they’re winning. But I’m trying to see this through as many games as I can for the rest of the season. I’m going to miss a couple with some personal stuff coming up in the next month or two, but I’ll let everyone know in advance. |

Maybe the rules should be changed where a team is awarded extra runs for distance, like basket ball with the three point shot. If we could have gotten like five run bonus maybe our pig pen, er bull pen could have nailed that one down… |

What's funny about last nights game was I wasn't the least bit angry, almost expected it. I guess I've become pretty apathetic when it comes to the Yanks. Too many ground hog games and a Leadership Team that are incapable of making the necessary adjustments. I don't think I can reinvest myself totally into this Team until Cashman is let go.

I guess I've become pretty apathetic when it comes to the Yanks. I'll be a bit more emotionally invested as we get closer to the end of the season, when it becomes do or die as far as playoff contention and beyond. Sure, these recent losses have been frustrating, but I don't get too high/low with wins/losses at this point, especially when the Yanks still have the 3rd best record in the league. |

Ugh, even before reading this thread, I don't know where to start with my complaints. As some of you know I think Cashman is good GM and Boone is a good manager. But with that said, I don't understand why Boone put Holmes in the game to get 5 outs.
If it was earlier in the season when Holmes was on a streak where he pitching well, I could understand Boone's decision. But, lately Holmes is having a hard time getting 3 outs, let alone get 5 outs.

As for Cashman...PROMOTE JACK NEEELY ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT MOVE SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED WEEKS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!
See if Neely can be the swing and miss relief pitcher the Yankees need. See if he can Close a game. Maybe he could have fixed the Yankees Bullpen flaws. He should have been given a chance weeks ago.
Everyone has their own way of thinking, but what I proposed in my opinion is basic common sense.

The Yankees go up by three runs. Hill then walks the first batter he faces in the bottom of that inning. Then Weaver kept pitching behind the RSox number 8 hitter.
Cashman should promote Effross and Neely today. They can't be any worse than the current group in the Yankees bullpen.
