Smith is 1-2 vs. Holmes.
Sinker into the zone below and outside middle, taken, 0-1
Takes a slider down and in, 1-1
Swings over a sweeper to the knees, inner 3rd, 1-2
Hurt himself on the swing over.
Didn't exatly hang the slider but left it in a hittable spot down and in, fouled.
Hanging slider to the top of the zone spoiled.
The longer each at bat goes, the more likely he makes a mistake.
Sinker below middle, tapped up the first base line, Wells has to chase it up the line, fields makes an accurate flip to the inside of Smith going down, excellent play by Wells for the 1st out.
