Chases a FB above the zone, 2-2
Sweeper waist high inside, just gets under it, flies out to Abreu in deep right, 1 down.

Takes a FB outside near the top, 1-1
Takes a cutter right where the 1st pitch sweeper went, 1-2
Takes a sweeper outside, knee high, 2-2
Fb thigh high, inside middle, Torres gets under, flies to Abreu in fairly deep right, 2 down.

Rice fouls off a splitter to the knees, 0-1
Takes a FB high, outside middle, 1-1
Slider waist high, inside corner, fouled, 1-2
FB up and away, on the corner, fouled.
Cutter breaks just low, inside corner, swings over it for the K, inning over.
You know it's possible that they either:
1) Put Chisholm at 3rd, DJ to first and Rice back to AAA, or
2) Chisholm at 2nd, Torres to 3rd, DJ to first and Rice back to AAA
Yanks lead 3-0, going bottom 1st. 23 pitches in the first for Crawford.
Now we see if Stroman can get at least 5 good innings in against a team that doesn't chase much.

So I guess the team thinks Wells will out perform Agustin Ramírez. Thus the Jazz trade. He doesn't really have to outperform Ramirez. He's in the majors right now, and Ramirez isn't quite ready. So Ramirez is tradeable and Wells isn't, not right now. |

Leaves a cutter hanging inside middle, and Yoshida hammers it past a diving Torres for a hit. Stroman has nothing so far.
