I think everybody in the booth thought the pick off was a hidden ball trick. The “trick” was inattentive base running… as well as in attentive announcing and observation…

Devers takes a sinker low/away.
Splitter to the knees, outside middle, almost doesn't matter, Devers drives it to the wall in left center, but Grisham goes back to make a leaping catch to end the inning.
Top 3, 5-4 Red Sox, and how long is Boone gonna leave Stroman in the game? He's fooling NOBODY.
It took the Sox just 13 pitches to turn the error and 3 hits and 2 steals into 2 runs and the lead. Stroman at 36 through 2.
Soto, Judge and Wells for the Yanks in the 3rd.

Judge is jammed by a Fb inside, hits a grounder just out of reach of Rafaela diving to his right for a 1 out single.

Wells gets a cutter down the middle, rolls it over to Smith, looks at 2nd, Judge's big body is in the way, so he takes it to the bag, Judge to 2nd with 2 down.

The Ramones were inspired by it. Rockaway Beach yep! I was there earlier in the year but had a crazy neighbor and was forced to move blocks up the beach to Rockaway "park" even though it's basically the same area. When we lived in Manhattan we went out to Jacob Riis Park one day. Man it was a slog getting out there on public transit. But we were reading a book on Robert Moses and wanted to check out some of his work. |

The movie the actors was pushing is an Apple TV+ movie, not a FOX movie, so I have no idea why they promoed it, unless it was a paid ad disguised as an interview.
