Bounces a change in front of home, 1-1
Swings over a change on the outside corner above the knees, 1-2
FB at the thigh outside corner, O'Neill spoils.
Change dives well low on the corner away, chased for the K, 1 down.

Takes a waist high FB inside, 1-0
Chases a change diving low away, 1-1
Doesn't chase the change low that time, 2-1
Have to find something else now, Carlos, come back to the change later.
Curve into the middle of the zone, topped right to Volpe, he fields, looks Devers back to 3rd, throws him out, 2 down.
Infield it actually worked, for once.

Flies open, change misses way outside, Wells has to move quick to prevent a wild pitch., 2-1
Waist high FB, about 2-3 inches inside, Jansen checks, but the 1st base ump rings him up. The side view seems to show he didn't go, Rodon got a break, 2-2
Change low/away, Jansen checks, no swing call, ball 3
Fb way inside, makes him jackknife for ball 4. Couldn't finish him, despite the break on the check swing call.
25 pitches already this inning after 22 last inning.

At least he limits the damage. We need to score about 6 more runs for me to feel comfortable. Even then my guard's up...

The same good change outsid above the knees, but Rafaela gets a piece and fouls, 1-2
Takes his timeout
Gets him to chase the back leg slider bounced down and in, Wells picks up the bounce and tags him before he can get away from home to complete the K and end the inning. Rodon has to use a lot of energy and pitches, but doesn't collapse.
Top 5, 4-2 Yanks.
29 pitches for Rodon in the 4th, he's at 73 now, 49 the lat two innings. Maybe all that pre-game work is catching up?
Cabrera, then back to the top for Verdugo and Soto for the Yanks in the 5th.
