Takes a spliter well low, inside middle, 1-1
Another splitter in almost the same spot, taken, 2-1
FB into the top of the zone near middle at 96.5, 2-2
Cutter down the middle, but he fouls it
Gets a sinker just inside middle middle, and Soto just stares at it for a ꓘ. No idea why he took it. It started inside, and maybe he thought it was a cutter or sweeper, but he took it almost down the middle.

Slider misses low/away, 2-2. Phillies taking Gil early, daring him to come in the zone.
A closer slider still misses low/away, 3-2
Slider down the middle below the knees, the grounder finds Chisholm at 3rd right away, and he handles it clean, gets it to 2nd fast, but high, but Torres gloves it and makea a strong relay to double up the speedy Turner. Big big play and big big double play.

Slider hangs outside, 1-1
Slider in the drop the bat happy zone, but he missed, fouling it off to the left. Don't throw it there again.
Hanging slider in the zone near the top, inner half, and Harper is on it, but misses well under, popping it to Judge in center for out #2.
OK, good job working around the leadoff walk. 16 pitches in the 1st for Gil.

Yanks welcomd back Stanton to lead off the inning. Tough 1st game back in Wheeler, and then Nola, and then Sanchez.

2nd O's Jays game was supposed to be a 6:35 start, but hasn't started yet, according to Gameday.
Might be delayed by rain, according to OnRoto's scoreboard.
