Sinker thigh high, outside middle, taken 1-1
Sinker down and in at 99 ties him up, bouncer up the middle, Turner fields on the right side of 2nd, throws him out, inning over.
It was only two outs, but another RISP fail for the Yanks, 1 for 8 tonight, and that was the Judge single that loaded the bases and score no one in the 1st. and they've left 8 men on in 6 innings, not even a GIDP to blame. yet.
5-6-7 for the Phillies: Marsh, Realmuto and Castellanos.

Warren stays in to start the inning.
Slider on the outer 3rd, taken for a strike, 0-1 on Marsh.
Change low, 1-1
Change bounced near home, 2-1
3rd straight change, dives low, gets a swing over, 2-2
Takes his timeout
That change stayed in the zone, below the waist, fouled
Slider misses down and in, ball 3.
Don't hang one here, Warren.
Sinker in the zone down and in, late and a bit under, to fliner to left center, Grisham takes a false half step back, then comes in and to his right, puts it in his hip pocket, 1 down.
And that's it for Warren, 4 runs in 5 1/3 innings, 96 pitches, 4 hits, 2 BB, 1 HR and 6 K. If he can get that HR to happen with nobody on, it's a good game. As it is, it's a game that shows potential, against an excellent lineup in good hitter's park.

Chases a bad slider low/away, 0-1
Tries to check on another in the same spot, can't, 1st base ump says "swing", 0-2
Throws a 3rd, and he starts but stops well in time, 1-2
Much closer slider with sharp break, finishes just outside and low, rolled over to Chisholm, fields and throws out Realmuto, 1 down.

Give Chisholm credit, he looks fine at 3B. Obviously too early to judge, but he doesn't look like a trainwreck out there that's for sure.
They had mentioned giving Torres some run at 3B too. I wouldn't bother with that. Chisholm seems to be taking to it well enough that I'd just keep going with that.

Takes a slider low/away, 1-1 Slider dives just outside, swing and a miss, 1-2 Chases the slider with good two plane break, K, inning over. |

Give Chisholm credit, he looks fine at 3B. Obviously too early to judge, but he doesn't look like a trainwreck out there that's for sure. They had mentioned giving Torres some run at 3B too. I wouldn't bother with that. Chisholm seems to be taking to it well enough that I'd just keep going with that. Agree; teams will test Chisholm, including bunts, but he's a great athlete, and should adapt. |

Arggg...1st pitch FB down the middle, but Soto fouls it back and I think he hit Realmuto on the follow through.
FB well high, 1-1
Soto 1-5 vs Strahm, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K, a sac fly and a GIDP.
Takes a slider outside, 2-1
FB near middle, Soto fouls it and berates himself for missing a hittable FB.
FB outside and below middle, fouled off the left side.
Slider hangs well high, 3-2
FB outside middle at 94, fooled again. Soto's fouled off 3-4 FBs near middle.
Takes the FB low, ball 4.
