Just watched Boone's post game interview. He said Holmes had good pitches, just bad luck. Though I agree that there were weak hits and Torres not helping, but Holmes simply is not a shutdown closer. Too much contact, though Boone defended his swing and miss capability, which doesn't exist. We need to have some level of confidence we can win close games in the bottom of the 9th. We don't at this time...

We had guests over last night for my 69th birthday and unlike kaybli, I don't make my company watch the Yankees. Although, one of my diners was a Phillies fan and she kept giving updates.
Looks like I missed one of those heart attack games. Glad that inger is still amongst the living.

Kay just finding out about Ben Franklin and all his inventions. Us PA kids learned all that in elementary school. So did we in NYC, maybe Kay stayed home that day.  |

Ugh, quit making outs on the bases. Sometimes I wonder if the Yankees are telling their players to trade an out for a run, because they do that way too much. That was such a bad play because no way was that throw going to make it to home plate in time. |
