I'd go with a combination of Weaver and Kahnle as closer for the rest of the year, I don't think you have to have a set guy. If swing and miss is the most important thing, Cousins can even give you that.

Some closers have swing and miss stuff. Holmes has swing and hit everything stuff.

Holmes still closing is Boone being Boone. Holmes is better out of the ninth inning but we have a stubborn manager. Not to mention Holmes in a ghost runner situation is laughable.

If swing and miss is the most important thing, Cousins can even give you that. Kahnle is pitching very good and I like what we saw from Leiter last night ... he seems pretty mentally tough and has a high k rate I never saw anyone have as bad of luck as Holmes though ... The guy doesnt allow a hard hit ball and the next thing you know he is in trouble. It's pretty crazy |

I'm on the "anybody but Holmes" train. He just doesn't have the stuff or makeup to be a closer on a team with October aspirations.
