Springer gets a 1st pitch cutter above and inside middle, misses it clean, 0-1
Slider outside, 1-1
Hanging slside above and outside middle, Lined through the 56 hole for a single, Verdugo charges, throws home on Jimenez, and it's an accidentally perfect throw, bouces just to the left of home, allowing Wells to pick, glove and drop the tag on Jimenez sliding in in one motion!!
Great play finally ends the inning, but the Jays add 4, and lead 7-2, bottom 3rd.
Top of the order for the Yanks in the 3rd, Verdugo, Soto and Judge.

Verdugo...
Takes a FB almost down the middle, 0-1
Squares to bunt, jabs at a sinker out of the zone, bunts foul, 0-2
Takes a spliter that bounced over home
Splitter clips the low outside corner, Verdugo gets a break, takes what should be strike 3, not called. 30-40% on Gameday.
Doesn't take advantage of the break, jammed by a FB inside, pops to short center, Jimenez goes back and catches, 1 down.

Greetings, teammates. Checking in late after the girls talked us into Red Robin for dinner. Appears I didn't miss anything. Have they said anything about if/when it'll get going? They held up the game for you.  And for me too lol. Just got home. Come on Stroman, what happened to ya? |

Huge overshift on Soto, Clement, the 3rd baseman, playing nearly a normal shortstop position.
Takes a spliter low over the middle, 1-0
Takes another low, near the outside corner, 2-0
Takes a FB outside, 3-0
Takes a FB outside middle, waist high, 3-1
Takes a great splitter that dives to the low inside corner, Soto jacknifes, wanted the call, but it's a strike, 100% on Gameday.
Spltter down and in, hammered off his right ankle misses the big pad somehow. He goes down. Boone and the trainer out to check. Yanks fans natter and curse quietly.

Judge... Takes a FB outsidq above the knees, 1-0 Takes a slider going low/away, 2-0 Backs a tailing FB over the outside corner down in the zone, taken, 2-1 FB bounced outside, 3-1 makes a bad mistake!!! Leaves a FB in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, and Judge drops the Hammer on it, annihilates it into the real bleahers in left-center and the Yanks are right back in the game, 40th HR of the year cuts the Jays lead to 3-2!!
