Mmmm. My favorite snack was Swanson Turkey Dinner with gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, with apple cranberry cake cobbler. I used to think that I was eating the same food as the Astronauts were eating. Now you're talking. Cutting that little space over the cobbler -- the instant potatoes with the slab of margarine -- the handful of frozen peas, and the soggy stuffing with mostly dark meat turkey. I'd down two of those bad boys for dinner if my parents were out, sitting with a tray while the TV was turned up to the moon. Wonderful memories. Also chicken pot pies. I still like those cheap Banquet Pot Pies. I like the turkey best. |
