Now you're talking. Cutting that little space over the cobbler -- the instant potatoes with the slab of margarine -- the handful of frozen peas, and the soggy stuffing with mostly dark meat turkey. I'd down two of those bad boys for dinner if my parents were out, sitting with a tray while the TV was turned up to the moon. Wonderful memories. Also chicken pot pies. I still like those cheap Banquet Pot Pies. I like the turkey best. We eat Marie Callender’s chicken pot pies. I just dump the pie over a pile of mashed potatoes…

Judge is just amazing. Imagine his numbers if he had an even average April. He's putting together a peak Barry Bonds type season (215 OPS+ before today).

Wells takes a FB that just misses low/away, 1-0 Takes a FB outside, 2-0 Slider on the outer 3rd, looping liner to right falls in front of Barger for a RBI single, Verdugo scores and Judge stops at 2nd, 8-3 Yanks!

It was a novelty then, and then as now a teenaged boy would happily consume large quantities of garbage. Also back then you were dealing with 45 minutes in a conventional oven as opposed to a few minutes in the microwave. But when you don't know any better, it's all good.

I don't know of any place where it's cold but it doesn't snow. Believe it or not, the dry valleys of Antarctica. Although housing is scarce there. Parts of the Mojave Desert and the Atacama Desert in Chile. But amenities would be hard to come by. High desert (Barstow/Victorville) winter temps 30 or lower...zero snow.

Torres gets a first pitch slider below and outside middle, pops it to short right, Horwitz goes back on the grass, catches, inning over. Top 9, 8-3 Yanks. Horwitz, Clement and Varshuo will face Leiter on 2 days' rest, a more accurate gauge on his stuff, albeit in low leverage.

Judge is just amazing. Imagine his numbers if he had an even average April. If you substitute the more important OBP for batting avg., he's leading the major leagues in the triple crown categories.

High desert (Barstow/Victorville) winter temps 30 or lower...zero snow. Sometimes it's too cold to snow. Extreme high pressure in such sytems prevents it, if I remember right.

Horwitz takes a sinker outside, ball 1. Sinker on the outside corner waist high, taken, 1-1 Curve on the corner away, thigh high, 1-2 Splitter on the inside corner waist high, pulled foul. Takes his timeout. Splitter in the zone low/away, pulled again to the right of Torres who was playing him to pull toward 1st base. Leadoff single.

If Guerrero gets another swing away, he'll be in a position to tie it up, at least.

I still like those cheap Banquet Pot Pies. I like the turkey best. We eat Marie Callender’s chicken pot pies. I just dump the pie over a pile of mashed potatoes… Sarah used to like those, but I prefer the little Banquet ones - more flavorful to me. I remember when Sarah was healthy and working, she always came home for lunch. Since it was the summer and I was off, Sarah asked me to put a Marie Callender's pot pie in the oven an hour before she was to arrive home for lunch. When she got home, I had set the table with candles, our good silverware and dishes, etc. She was so pleased. When she sat down and took her first bite, a thick piece of industrial blue plastic was on her fork! She ended up going to Del Taco and getting a Fajita in a Pita, one of her other favorites.

That's the second time in this game Verdgo loaded down the first base line on a groundball in this game. I guess he didn't get the message Boone was sending last night. Spot on Chi. It seems as if Verdugo is sulking when things aren't going well.

Clement takes a sinker low, ball 1 Sinker on the outer 3rd, taken, 1-1 Sinker at the knees in the middle, taken, 1-2 Slider at the knees, near middle, hit to farily deep left, but Verdugo gets the read and a good route, makes it an easy play, 1 down.

Varsho takes a FB high, ball 1. Sinker above and outside middle, this time Torres is playing closer to 2nd and in for the DP, and the ball goes through the open 34 hole for a hit. Horwitz stops at 2nd with 1 out.
