When I umped, I would walk over to the loudmouths and tell them in a soft voice that I didn’t appreciate shouting and wasn’t going to allow it. I would also tell them if the call was close, and let them know he nor I was a pro, and were both doing out best. Then I’d walk away. I didn’t believe in tossing people in little league games…

Schneider chases a FB high, fouls it, 0-1 Takes a curve way low near the corner inside, 1-1 Curve into the top of the zone near the outside corner, and he doesn't miss that pitch this time, taken, 1-2 Chases a change tailing outside, waist high, K, 1 down.

My son and I were at that game last year in Chicago when Boone mocked Laz.

Jimenez takes a FB high, ball 1. FB up and in, swung under, 1-1 Curve bends inside, 2-1 Rodon a bit under a FB well high, 3-1 FB waist high, inner half, foul tip, 3-2 Fb down the middle at 96, swung under again, K.

I wonder if Wells told Rodon to stop nibbling. He's challenging hitters with the fastball in fastball counts. 98 with a little hair on it.

Hot. 88 today and tomorrow. Hot and dry… 96 here, humidity 46%. Supposed to climb to 100 later. It was 105 yesterday. I should have put a pot roast inside of my car in the parking lot at work. Could have had a nice dinner. The only thing I ever liked about Dan Rather were his election night similes, and your statement reminded me of his "this race is hotter than an El Paso parking lot at noon in mid- August."

Berroa takes a FB that barely brushes the top of the zone, taken, 0-1 FB clips the corner outside, and all of sudden that's not a strike, 10-20% on Gameday, not called. Sheesh. FB waist high, inner 3rd, fouled, 1-2 Change in the zone low and away, Berroa gets under it to center, can o'corn for Grisham, inning over.
Bottom 5, 4-1 Yanks. 14 pitch 1-2-3 for Rodon in the 5th, 85 through 5. The 6th inning looms up as a tough one, Springer-Loeprfido-Guerrero vs. a maybe tiring Rodon. 4-5-6 for the Yanks, Wells, Torres and Chisholm for the Yanks in their half of the 5th.

Another disadvantage to the Yanks. If not for all the terrible calls going Berrios' way, he might well be knocked out already, and the Yanks might've been able to blow it open against the weak part of the Jays' pen.

Gigantic elephantine women who have never played a sport in their lives, using the ugliest profanity from the stands, while their five other kids watch and listen, perpetuating a dim future.

Sinker into the zone above and inside middle, strike 1. FB outside corner, taken, strike 2 Sinker below the knees, Torres pulls it through the 56 hole for a one out single.

Chisholm takes a sinker below and outside middle, 0-1 Takes a change low, 1-1 Cutter inside corner above the waist, ties him up some, his grounder down the line at 1st is knocked down by Guerrero, who picks it up, steps on 1st, turns and throws high to 2nd, and it's on time, but the tag comes down late. Man on 2nd, two down for Volpe.

All of this during games being played by kids. It's disgusting.
