2B Randolph
SS Crosetti?
3B Nettles
C Munson
LF White
CF Bernie
RF Maris or O'Neal
DH Judge

Yeah I think I would give the nod to Cro at SS. Gil McDougald would give more offense, but SS was his third position after second and third. Kubek is a possibility -- great defensively -- but Cro had a better OBP. Now of course Judge will be in Cooperstown five years after he retires. But that's for another day. |

Beautiful team. Due to the randomness of the sport, I would think 130-135 wins would be about the maximum any team could achieve. As far as the playoffs go, it’s still a crapshoot, but the odds would be better than a “normal” playoff, maybe a 1/4 chance vs. 1/16 or so… Funny that as important as pitchers are, we’ve only seen concern for the offense… You guys will have to pick the pitchers.  Starting Pitchers - Guidry, Hunter, Ford, Gomez, Pettite Relief - Rivera, Lyle, Righetti, Lloyd (I loved this guy against lefties) |
