Curve hangs waist high, inside corner, Clement gets jammed a bit, but muscles a flare just over Volpe for an RBI single, 2-0 Jays. De Los Santos is able to get to 3rd because Judge has to come way in to get it.
Blake out to talk to Cole, Critical at bat here, Loperfido with Guerrero on deck.

Clement goes for 2nd and gets there without a play, Curve misses down and in, 1-2
Cutter down and in, Loperfido checks well in time, 2-2
FB at the top, he starts, but he didn't break the wrist, and Diaz at 3rd says no swing. 3-2
Maybe the biggest pitch of the game right here.

Came back from the gym, turn on the game to see Yanks down 2-0 with Cole in trouble. But he got out of it?

Humps up to 99+, a FB above and inside middle jams him a bit, late and under, his soft fliner is caught by Judge coming in, and Cole escapes the meltdown, for now, anyway.
Bottom 2, 2-0 Jays.
25 pitches for Cole in the 2nd, 39 through 2.
7-8-9 for the Yanks: Volpe, Grisham and LeMahieu.

Takes a sinker inside near the bottom
Slider way low and outside, 2-0
Takes a FB at 93 above dead middle as the YES cast cuts out on me again.
Back just in time to see Volpe thrown out at 1st after rolling ove on a slider at the top of the zone to De Los Santos at 3rd. 1 down.

Takes his timeout.
FB at 97, outer 3rd, waist high, a bit late, fouled off.
Cutter outer 3rd, lined over the pitch, but fielded on a hop by Clement just on the right side of 2nd, he was playing up the middle, throws out Grisham, 2 down.

Sinker just outside middle, pulls a fliner to left center, but Loperfido is there in plenty of time, inning over.
Excellent shutdown inning by Yariel. 1-2-3 on 11 pitches and 33 through 2. I hope the Yanks didn't blow their best chance to get Rodriguez in the 1st.
Guerrero, Horwotz and Varsho for the Jays in the 3rd.

Guerrero takes a cutter just low/away, ball 1
Cutter to the knees in the middle, lined to right center, gets through to the wall, Gueerero coasts into 2nd, not even looking to see the ball rebounced and got away from Grisham for a moment. Man on 2nd, nobody out for Horwitz, and Cole immediately in trouble again.
