What is your least favorite player to ever play for the Yankees and why?
Hmm…that’s an incredibly hard choice for me to pick because their have been so many players who have played for the Yankees over the years, ones that I have completely forgot were in pinstripes or ones I have completely erased from my memory.
But I’m going to go with Jacob Ellsbury.

Just off the top of my head, I'd say Armando Benitez. I can't believe Cashman brought him to the Bronx after what happened between him and Tino.

Alex Rodriguez, PED cheat who influenced Melky Cabrera and Robinson Cano.

1a. Carl Pavano. Paid a boatload of cash and wouldn't pitch through minor ailments. After going elsewhere, he "magically" managed to stay healthy. Eff that guy.
1b. Jacoby Ellsbury. Didn't like him when he was in Boston, didn't like him in the Bronx. Paid a ton of cash for middling production.

Probably Sergio Mitre for his later criminal behavior and its nature… Murdered his girlfriends’ 2.5 year old daughter. What a pig…

This might not be a popular suggestion, especially from a first—time poster, but I hate Stanton. I can’t imagine how many runners he’s stranded over the last 2 seasons - just a waste of an at-bat.
Going back a bit, even 3 homers in game 6 doesn't excuse Reggie Jackson for his ‘straw that stirs the drink’ announcement. Unforgivable. ‘Mr October 18th’, that was about it.

Russell Martin. Guy was a LOB machine. There was some stat in mid-August or thereabouts that he had 1 or 2 hits on pitches below his waist up to that point. Pathetic.

Mell Hall, Sergio Mitre and Chad Curtiss each deserve mention.

I am sure this will get a strong push back, but my least favorite was Reggie Jackson. Despite his 3 HR World Series game, I think he was among the most selfish, egotistical, and often lazy player.
