Mell Hall, Sergio Mitre and Chad Curtiss each deserve mention. Yes they do.

I am sure this will get a strong push back, but my least favorite was Reggie Jackson. Despite his 3 HR World Series game, I think he was among the most selfish, egotistical, and often lazy player. Reggie is actually one of my favs, but he certainly exhibited at least some of the traits you mention, particularly the ego. I can certainly see how he rubs people the wrong way.

quite a few good (or bad) ones already mentioned. probably my all-time dislike was clemens. couldn't stand the guy. didn't like him on other teams and never wanted to see him in pinstripes. and we traded david wells, a damn good pitcher who had a pinstripe heart for him.
in more recent times, think joey gallo tops the list. to me, those were some of the painful ABs i've ever seen. you could legitimately make "a call" on one of his ABs.

Mel Hall, Luis Polonia, Chad Curtis, Jim Leyritz, Domingo German. I guess you could add Raul Mondesi and Esteban Loaiza to the list...and there is always Steve Howe. But if there are levels to hell, I think Hall, Mitre and Curtiss go first.

Mell Hall, Sergio Mitre and Chad Curtiss each deserve mention. These scumbags are on a whole different level of dislike. Even if you don't consider Hall and Curtis's criminal behavior, they were still lousy Yankees.

A couple of people here mentioned Clemens…while I liked him because I was young and he was on the team when I became a fan and was very sad he and Pettitte left the team (leaving the team’s rotation in shambles for 04-onwards), I wouldn’t call him one of my favorites especially now knowing the stories about his off-field behavior….it’s especially made me think less of him.

For a guy that was leaving, you’re doing pretty well. As Jackson Browne said… Why don’t you stay?… (More than) a little bit longer?

Mell Hall, Sergio Mitre and Chad Curtiss each deserve mention. Yes they do. Pretty bad guys. Also, the name escapes me at the moment, so I’ll make this a Name The Yankee, thought without stats: Once arrested for a sexual encounter with a 15 year old girl. A Yankee outfielder on three separate occasions. I “think” his lifetime BA of .294, though not a lot of pop. He also played for the A’s, I think multiple times… I’ll take questions but without recalling his name, I probably can’t answer them. Except if you get the name, I’m sure I will recognize it…

Come on down to the stage and see if you win either of our two prizes tonight. Just give the wheel of non-fortune a spin and you’ll either walk away tonight with nothing, or… the small ball of Luis Polonia toe jam, including one toenail, or Luis Polonia belly button lint with extra dirt! … Come on DOWN! Donnie? DONNIE? Anyone seen Donnie? … Why couldn’t think of Luis Polonia? …
