That might be the popular tendency, but since that crap was used in different doses and by players I’d different skill sets, there would likely be guys that used just to be good enough to squeeze themselves onto rosters to become backup players. I don't know how the use of PEDs could make a player a better fielder or hitter. It's always been my understanding that it primarily increased power...hence the jump in HRs. Reaction times were also enhanced. But it was also product dependent. How much of what were/are they willing to risk taking, given the side effects?…
