The Yankees have relievers in the minor leagues that would be better than De Los Santos but Cashman won't use them. From the little I've seen of De Los Santos i'd say so. If he's a reclamation project, what the hell is he doing up here in the middle of a playoff/division race. I'd say Marinaccio could at least get another look. He got knocked around a bit in June, but was very effective before that this season and in 2022/23. I guess we didn't give up much for him and it was a roll of the dice, but more really should have been done if this is an all in year. Pitching was a clear Achilles heel and will be this team's undoing unless a bunch of these guys figure it out. Cashman got him to say he got some more relief help at the deadline. And maybe because Blake can work with him. He'll be a usable slag arm until the post-season. |
