I loved Rudy May when he was with the Yanks the first time.
In fact, a young Qwik annoyed John Sterling by calling him to complain that I thought May was underrated. Sterling didn't want to deal with teenagers then, and gave me short shift saying: "Underrrated by who, exactly? Not me." Followed by a quick hangup.

Stanton gets a small break, change clips the bottom of the zone, outer half, not called, 10-20% on Gameday, 1-0 Foul tips a FB at the top, inner 3rd, 1-1 Takes a FB inside, pushing him back, 2-1 Swings over a change going way low, outer half, 2-2 FB inside, pulled foul Change at the bottom, spoiled Dead fish drops way low/away Stanton takes, 3-2 FB on the inside corner above the waist, 92, Stanton beaten clean, K. 2 down. Typical Stanton. Very unproductive since return. Hope it does not take usual 3 weeks to get going. |

Moniak takes a sweeper low, then gets jammed by a cutter well inside to short center, Judge comes in and makes a slow-motion diving catch for the 1st out.

Cutter at the knees, lined hard down the line, looks like a fair ball, Ump says it's foul, looks like it landed on the erased foul line, but the call stands. Still 3-2.

Comes sidearm, leaves a FB in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, late swing, but he fouls it off.

Leaves the cutter in a hittable spot below and outside middle, sinking liner to right, Soto hesitates, then comes late, and makes a lunging catch as he falls to the grass. 2 down.
