I hope Judge walks so Wells has a shot for 8 RBIs on the day.

Grant Anderson. Don't know much about him. He's pitching to Judge. Sidearm or below on the release.
Slider just low and outside, taken, 1-0 Sinker inside corner, fouled off. Slider misses outside, 2-1 Slider misses just low, outside corner, 3-1. Anderson wanted the call but it 0% on Gameday Perfect sinker hits the corner low/away, taken, 3-2 Judge with another great take as the slider goes outside 3-4 inches on a late break away from Judge. Ball 4 loaded them up for Wells,

The best French Onion soup I ever had was at some bar/restaurant in Manhattan sometime in the 1980's. I don't even remember the name of the place. Do you think the place is still there? Because, Kay will make the yeoman's effort to try it! lol! I don't know if it's still there or not. It was so long ago I can't remember what street it was on.

Wells can turn a great day into a career day with a big hit here. Takes a FB in the drop the bat happy zone below and inside middle, 0-1 Chases a FB tailing well outside for strike 2. Moves up on the plate a bit to take the tailing FB away a bit, but Anderson counters by throwing a FB inside to tie him up, and it's popped near the screen near the Yankees on deck circle, Heim has to get back in a hurry and makes a nifty reaching grab on the move. The ball bounced in his mitt a bit, but he held on for the 2nd out.

Torres takes a slider outside and low, ball 1 Misses a slider near the low outside corner, 1-1 Sinker tailing to the inner 3rd, Torres tries to inside out it, is late and fouls it off the right side. Slider again taken low/away 2-2 Same sinker as the 1-1, Torres sees it, tries to go to right field, just jammed enough to keep him in the park, Garcia goes back to the track and catches it a step from the wall. Just missed a grand slam there, but a good approach, Gleyber.
Top 6, 7-0 Yanks. 5-6-7 fop the Rangers in the 6th: langford, Lowe and Garcia. Let's see if Boone stays with Rodon at 96 pitches, at least through Lowe, the lefty.

I hope Judge walks so Wells has a shot for 8 RBIs on the day. I was hoping Judge would hit a three run HR and keeping piling up those stats, lol.

Rodon back out there to start the 6th. Misses low on the inner half with a FB, 1-0 FB at the knees, Langford misses under, flies out to Chisholm in medium deep center, 1 down.

He was a little wild early, but quietly Rodon is pitching a 2 hit shutout.

Lowe takes a slider that barely misses low/away, 1-0 Takes a FB on the inner 3rd for a strike. Fouls off a FB thigh high in the middle, 1-2 Lowe swings over a slider to the knees in the middle, good sharp drop on that slider for the K, 2 down.

Marinaccio warming, but Rodon got the first two hitters on 7 pitches, and deserves to try at Garcia to get through 6.
FB misses well high, 0-1 Swings over a change well low, inner half, 1-1 Takes his timeoout Slider above and near middle, late and fouled off, 1-2 Bounces the change inside, taken, 2-2 Slider down and in, but not down anough, allowing Garcia to pull it hard but foul off 3rd. Tries to hump up, hits 98, but flies open some, missing well outside and up, 3-2 FB on the outside corner at 97, waist high, fouled Emptying the tank here, this is his 110th pitch... Slider in the zone below middle, inside outs a slicing line drive that falls in on the track in the corner in right, bounces into the stands for a ground rule double.
Boone goes to lift him here, at 110 pitches, as he should. Rodon gets a nice ovation. He struggled with command today, walking 5, but pitched tought to get out of two jams early and made it through 5 2/3 scoreless innings for his 4th good game in a row, and set up for his 4th win in a row. Now, if Mr. Marinaccio gets the job done and doesn't allow the inherited runner to score, that's the end of a nice day for Rodon.
