Carton did a great job in the booth but nerves are there. He should settle down i a few.

Takes a thigh high FB tailing to right down the middle, 0-1
Splitter tails well outside, 1-1
Fooled by the splitter tying him up inside, check swing, too late, 1-2
FB high over the middle at 96, 2-2
Splitter starts inside tails back to the corner, Verdugo spoils it.
FB tails to the outside corner waist high at 97, Verdugo spoils that one, too
Cutter to the inside corner below the waist, fouled off with a defensive swing.
Gets under a curve, loses it well outside, 3-2
Splitter dives down and in, Verdugo swings over, K.
Eovaldi's stuff locks just fine to me; the splitter is diving two plane, the cutter is breaking sharp in on lefties.

Soto catches a bit of a hanging splitter near middle, lines it through the right side for a 1 out single.

Soto doesn't care about Eovaldi's stuff but Judge is a prime K candidate.

Listening to hear Susyan and Carton in the booth. This is so frustrating with Stanton. He doesn't play the field. He doesn't hustle or run at 100%. Now he can't DH consecutive days? What am I missing? Is resting Judge at DH and forcing Grisham in there more important. You're missing the fact that the Rangers are starting a righty in the first game, and a lefty in the 2nd game. So the powers that be know that Stanton won't play both, giving the first game to Grisham against the righty and the second game to Statnon against Bradford, who's a lefty. They also don't want Judge playing CF for 18 innings so they need the DH spot for him for one of these games. |

Takes a cutter well outside, 1-1
Blows the FB by him in the zone up and in, 1-2
Gets another FB near the top in the middle, fouls it off.
Takes his timeout
The splitter starts outside, allowing Judge to take as it misses low and away, 2-2
Cutter off the splitter, but again, Judge reads it as it breaks well outside, 3-2.
Splitter low in the zone, outer 3rd, bounced foul near home.
Throw over on Soto; he's 5 for 7 stealing bases so far this year.
Soto goes, Eovaldi goes back to the FB up and in, but this time, Judge spoils by fouling it back.
FB just inside, jams him, big swing, Langford breaks back a step, comes in late, tries for a sliding catch, but his mitt catches on the grass and it falls in for a hit. Soto to 2nd with 1 out.

Wells takes a FB outside, 1-0
splitter below and outside middle, lined hard the other way toward the gap in left center, but Grossman reads it it well and takes a good route, backhanding it on the run in the gap to take away a possible 2 run double. 2 down.

Splitter misses just low, Heim tries to pull it up, no sale, 1-2. Gameday says 5% strike.
Splitter hangs above and inside middle, Torres inside outs it through the right side for a hit, Garcia comes up throwing, Soto slider to the outside as the throw misses home up the 3rd base line, Yanks take a 1-0 lead!! But I hope Soto didn't hurt the hand again. If that's the same hand.

Chisholm's bat slowed down by the last two pitches, he reacts late on a FB up in the zone, swings under for the K, inning over.

Better located FB on the high outside corner, popped to the right side, Rice and Torres don't comminicate and bump each other as Rice grabs it away from Gleyber, 1 down.
