I'm sure they can add a retractable roof if they wanted to. In my opinion, it would eventually pay for itself (winter sporting events, Super Bowl, etc). They cannot add a retractable roof to the current Yankee Stadium. Because of the weight that adds to the stadium property and the particularly soft undersurface in that area of the Bronx, they'd basically have to raze the stadium to put in new supports. I wouldn't be surprised if the next YS has it but to do it to an already 15 year old stadium when current stadiums are on a 30 year or so lifespan... isn't gonna happen. A retractable roof was part of the original design. I don't know where you heard that Yankee stadium would have to be raised. Also, without today's technology sky scrapers were built on what was once part of the east river. Shea Stadium was build on marshland. |

Big missed opportunity there. I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop with Rodon on the mound. Hopefully he can keep it together, but I'm perpetually nervous with him on the mound.

The ump answers Rodon's pointless complaints by not giving him a call on a 90% strike on a FB in the zone low/away. Wells moved the mitt, so maybe that had some influence, but it was clearly a strike not called
Slider misses way low and outside, 2-1
Slider is closer but stil low/away, 3-1
Fb below middle fouled off, 3-2
FB misses low, inner half, ball 4. Leadoff walk, and Rodon is back in trouble right away.

For some reason, I think I want to start with Arthur's Steakhouse. Sounds like the place to begin the French Onion Soup journey. They have locations in North Brunswick and Hoboken. They give out these huge 24 oz steaks (or 48 oz if you're brave). The quality of the meat isn't the best, but the French Onion soup is surprisingly good! |

FB maybe catches a piece of the corner inside, and this time Rodon gets the call, taken, 0-2. Gameday says <5% strike on that one.
Bounces a change over the inner 3rd, taken, 1-2
FB misses outside by about 3 inches at the knees, crowd again groans for no reason. 0% on GAmeday, and not close.
Change misses well outside ball 3.
FB yanked way inside, ball 4.
Rodon with 2 more walks this inning, 1st and 2nd, 2 down for Smith. Rodon at 77 pitches now.
