They cannot add a retractable roof to the current Yankee Stadium. Because of the weight that adds to the stadium property and the particularly soft undersurface in that area of the Bronx, they'd basically have to raze the stadium to put in new supports. I wouldn't be surprised if the next YS has it but to do it to an already 15 year old stadium when current stadiums are on a 30 year or so lifespan... isn't gonna happen. A retractable roof was part of the original design. I don't know where you heard that Yankee stadium would have to be raised. Also, without today's technology sky scrapers were built on what was once part of the east river. Shea Stadium was build on marshland. The original design had supports necessary to hold the retractable roof. Those supports were never put in. So the stadium, as it exists, cannot support a retractable roof. They'd have to uproot the stadium to do it.

Slider misses well outside to Smith, ball 1. Slider hits the corner away, waist high, taken, 1-1 Beats him clean with a 97 FB at the top, just inside middle, 1-2. Once again, needs one more good pitch... FB maybe at the very top or just above, outer 3rd at 99, Swung under for the K. Gameday says 25-30% strike anyway. Smith K's, inning over. Bottom 4, 3-0 Yanks. 22 pitches in the 4th for Rodon, looks like a five and fly for Carlosk, it he gets through 5.
Grisham, then back to the top for Verdugo and Soto for the Yanks. Apparently, Bochy is worried about Eovaldi, lifts him for lefty reliever Brock Burke.

Brock: FB 95-6, also features the slider and the curve.

Do you think Jonah Heim would name his daughter Anna? I used to date a girl whose last name was Heim. And she was a long distance runner too, I miss those long legs.

For some reason, I think I want to start with Arthur's Steakhouse. Sounds like the place to begin the French Onion Soup journey. They have locations in North Brunswick and Hoboken. They give out these huge 24 oz steaks (or 48 oz if you're brave). The quality of the meat isn't the best, but the French Onion soup is surprisingly good! If I could divide my age in half, I would give that 48 ounce steak a good go! Just cannot eat like I once did. This will sound odd, but the best French Onion soup I ever had was driving south, right outside of Six Flags Magic Mountain on the way to Los Angeles called "Hamburger Hamlet." Never would have thought about ordering it, but a friend of mine recommended it. I was happily surprised. Made a habit of stopping there whenever I was in the neighborhood.

Grisham takes a FB at the top, inner 3rd, not called, 30-40% on Gameday, probably a bad call. Takes a FB at the bottom, inner 3rd, 1-1 Slider just below where the 2nd FB went, swung over, 1-2 Takes his timeout. Takes a FB outside, 2-2 FB well inside makes him dive out of there, 3-2 Another FB up and in, hits him on the left hand or wrist as he tries to check his swings. Grisham in pain after the HBP, getting checked out by Boone and the trainer. Tough way to reach base.
