Cole left a game after only 90 pitches because he had a cold last week.
I give credit to Rodon, he's a competitor and gets mad when Boone takes him out of a game. He want to compete.
The 90 pitches was such a contrived limit. It could just as well been 75 or 105. I would imagine that Boone approached Cole with the idea and it may have been a compromise between Boones desire of 75 and Cole’s 105. Either way, it may have lost us the game. I would love to be able to rewind and see if Cole survives the inning…
