Starts him with a slider that he takes just low, inner 3rd.
97 sinker at the knees or just below, in the middle, swung over, 1-1
Slider drops sharp to the knees, taken 1-2
Don't miss with that pitch in the zone down and in.
Gets under a slider trying for the corner away, misses well outside, 2-2
Slider on the corner low/away, grest spoil.
Yankes the sinker, bounced it near middle, 3-2
Slider with sharp drop winds up middle and down in the zone, spoiled again

Slider winds up just below and outside middle, bad location but again, very sharp drop, so he tops it up the middle, Volpe charges, fields to the left and in front of 2nd, and makes the strong throw for the 3rd out.
Phew!
Bottom 8, 8-6 Yanks, and they would be wise to add at least one here if they can.
9-1-2 for the Yanks: LeMahieu, Verdugo and Soto for the Yanks in their half of the 8th.

As pres mentioned before, Rays beat the O's 2-1
Astros completed the sweep in Fenway, 10-2
A's won their series in Toronto, winning today 8-4.
