Fb at the very top in the middle, swung under. He's been missing that pitch a lot lately.
FB in the zone up and in, fouled back, 0-2
Change misses low near the corner away, Volpe hold off.
Change on the outer 3rd below the waist, Volpe actually swings under it for the K. Inning over.
Easy 1-2-3 in the 2nd for Healey, 13 pitches and 32 through 2.
Top 3, 1-0 Yanks.
Kelly, then back to the top for Smith and Seager.
Anyone feeling confident Stroman can hold a 1-run lead for long?

I thought Gleyber was going to go on a hot streak after the trade deadline, but it just hasn't happened. He's still doing what he was doing before, chipping in 1-3 key hits a week, and not much more. |

Sinker above and outside middle, inside outs a line drive to right center for a leadoff single.

Splitter below middle, Smith fouls it off.
Splitter into the top of the zone, takes it, thinking it high, but it caught the top, 0-2
Splitter dives just outside, popped foul off 3rd, but it gets into the 3rd row of the stands.
Holds the ball a long time, then misses outisde with a slurve, taken, 1-2
Spitter in the zone low/away, lined hard but Torres grabs it with a well-timed leap. 1 down.
It's worse than that, Paulie. That ball wasn't near the middle and Smith still hit it hard.

Takes a FB at the knees in the middle, 1-1
Splitter dives low, Seager lays off, 2-1
Cutter in the zone near the top, just inside middle, and it ties him up enough, that his fly to left center is an easy play for Judge, 2 down.

Takes a sinker about 4-5 inches outside waist high, 2-0
Cutter on the outside corner, grounded to 3rd, but Chisholm is there, throws to Torres for the force to end the inning.
Bottom 3, 1-0
16 pitches for Stroman in the 3rd, and 53 through 3.
LeMahieu, then back to the top for Verdugo and Soto for the Yanks in the 3rd.
