FB misses low, near the corner away, called a strike anyway, 0-1
Missed by an inch on Gameday.
FB in the same spot but an inch or two higher, that one IS a strike, taken, 0-2
Cutter yanked way outside, 1-2
Change almost bounced, inner half, 2-2
FB smashed had up the middle, of off Leone's foot, bounces high, settles behind him, and Vaughn picks it up for an infield hit.

Allowed 11...ELEVEN...homeruns in 40 innings for San Diego and Cashman thought it a good idea to add THAT guy to a scuffling bullpen in the midst of a pennant race.  That's so bad. Not this evening. hey qwik, I can't believe this is happening Since Judge's double in the first, really since Gil came out without a slider looking like he did in his slump, nothing's gone right. The death rattle was the near grand slam by Judge in the 3rd, if that gets out, I think they win this. |

Where the hell is this ump's K-zone?
FB clearly in the zone low/away, 100% on Gameday called ball 1.
FB inside middle taken, 1-1
Slider bounced outside, 2-1
Arggg
95 FB above middle, Stanton late and under, fouled off, 2-2
Good slider low/away, and Stanton has no chance, K's, inning over.
Yanks leave two more on base, and yet another RISP fail.
Now 2-15 with RISP and 14 LOB.
And NO, two blowout wins tomorrow and Wednesday doesn't make up for THIS, even if they get them.

So let's sum up from the floor...three acquistions at the deadline.
Leiter...who's looked good in spots, very bad in others.
De Los Santos...who's been uniformly terrible every time out, almost
Chisholm, an actual intelligent move, now unfortunately hurt.

admittedly de los santos was quite "efficient" in the 7th allowing 6 runs on only 27 pitches.

I don't care if he gives up 10 more this inning, leave him in until his arm falls off. Not to humiliate him, but to humiliate Cashman for picking up a guy just to pick up a guy, just to show he's doing something right before the deadline.
Slider misses outside by 4-6 inches, randomly called strike 3 anyway, not close at all, Not 0% strike, a -1000000% strike.
