Rice jammed by a FB inner 3rd, might have broken the bat, soft liner to Baldwin. Another RISP fail. 1 down.

11 walks, 9 hits, 2 runs. That is inconceivably bad.

For someone I thought was supposed to be a decent contact hitter, Volpe sure strikes out a lot. At least that's the way it seems.

OMG, anything more humiliating that getting crushed by the worst MLB team? Have to blame Boone and Blake for not getting the players ready and motivated for this game. Seems like they were unprepared and sleep walking. The old George would have been on the phone wih Cash. Looks like without Judge and Soto this team is AA.

The Boss wasn't anywhere near perfect, but he at least demanded accountability. I see none of that in this organization now and haven't for some time. It feels like we're stuck with Cashman until he wants to pack it in.

LeMahieu takes a FB above the knees down the middle, 0-1 Slider on the corner away, rolled over to Lopez, flips to Baldwin, game over.
Yanks humiliated by the worst team in MLB in a long time, 12-2. Blow a chance to take first place back for tonight. Go 2 for 18 with RISP, leave 16 men on base. Gil geats knocked out after 4 innigns by clearly the worst offense in baseball. Shutdown by a rookie lefty junkballer who gave up 6 hits and 7 BB in 4 2/3 innings.
Yanks fall back to 20 games over .500 at 70-50, now trail the O's by 1/2 game Lose a game to the Sox, who beat the Rangers in 10 innings, 5-4, now lead the Sox by 6 1/2 Don't lose one to the Rays, who lost to the Astros 6-1. Rays says 10 games behind. Should also drop a game to the Jays, who are beating the Angels, 4-1 in the 7th. If that score holds, the Yanks are 14 1/2 ahead of Toronto.
Game 2 is tomorrow at 8:10 pm. Nestor Cortes 5-10, 4.42 ERA for the Yanks. Jonathan Cannon, 2-5, 3.91 ERA for the White Sox. No need to say more about this disgraceful loss. I'll check notifications instead.

Nestor on the road tomorrow. Yeesh. Could the Yanks possibly lose a series to a historically bad team? We'll see, I guess. On to the next one. Better be a better effort tomorrow.

OK, notifications checked, nothing left to respond to, and besides, I'm in the most foul mood I've been in since the depths of the slump that ended with the bad loss in the 1st game in Fenway 2 1/2 weeks ago. Maybe since 2003.

Well, good night to all of you still here reading. I'm going to watch the Boone interview, something I rarely do, to see if there's any public admission about what just actually happened. Sheer morbid curiousity, really.
X-rays negative on Chisholm, one bullet dodged.

Not much to add to this one that hasn't been already said. This game was lost in the first three innings when they stranded a gazillion runners.
Then De Los Santos finished it off.

Allowed 11...ELEVEN...homeruns in 40 innings for San Diego and Cashman thought it a good idea to add THAT guy to a scuffling bullpen in the midst of a pennant race. That's so bad. We can fix him. Make him better… 😂
