is it safe? is it safe ... so did we come back ................ gonna go with de los santos as potg for the white sox. pitching that badly deserves some recognition .
gil had nothing. maybe he needs to talk to sevy again about that slider grip because it certainly was M.I.A. tonite.
the game turned on those early innings when we stranded all those runners. gave them the momentum. something was off in our approach. showed zero patience. against a pitcher who was walking the ballpark, for our 3 outs we saw 6 pitches in the 1st, 7 in the 2nd and 8 in the 4th sandwiched around a DP in the 3rd. 9 hits, 11 walks and 2 white sox errors and we only managed 2 runs. doing the math, not sure that's even possible.
positives include soto and judge on base 3 times. chisholm 2 hits and manufacturing a run w his speed. hopefully the injury isn't serious. hill for ultimately holding there and eating some innings. .

With this win the White Sox will have 29 wins on the season with 6 of them coming against 70 win teams (5 vs CLE, 1 vs NYY) which is just under 21%. Thats more wins than they have against all the last place teams combined. Tor 1, Oak 1, Mia 1, Col 2, Pit 0 obviously there's no excusing this disaster of a game but as you point out the white sox are 5-5 against the guardians, 2-1 against the braves, 2-2 against the red sox. so they have beaten some good teams. sh*t happens. they were due and maybe we took them lightly. escaping those early innings gave them some confidence, so here we are ...

Geez I fell asleep expecting a comeback and woke up to this travesty. We better win the next two games. Losing the series to the historically bad White Sox would be something else.

I just listened to Boone's interview and now I want to wet the end of my nose and stick it in a light socket.

Now 5-5 after the little win streak they had. They’re flat out lacking any sustainable fire and intensity. They’re a different group every night it seems.

I watched on the White Sox tv station. Even the Sox announcers couldn't believe what they were seeing...

The stench is bad. Time to close the autopsy. This was a suicide. Take it out behind the woodshed and bury it, quick. Then plant flowers over it…Tell no one…

De Los Santos has allowed 13 hits & 3 walks in 6.1 innings as a Yankee. I need to update this: Marinaccio - 31.1 IP, 2.53 ERA De Los Santos - 46.2 IP, 5.79 ERA Now, I don't think Ronnie is an end of game elite reliever, but he's better than this guy Cashman traded for and he's stuck in the minors.

Wanna do another update ? Look at the numbers Alex Verdugo is putting up and compare them to those of Miguel Andujar in Oakland.

I did see a stat where Verdugo is ranked 7th or 8th in most offensive categories on the Yankees yet Boone keeps hitting him leadoff.

When he popped up that bunt last night with no outs and 1st and 2nd occupied I think I'd have given him a coffee break.

not sure why they traded for de los santos. he's been terrible and his career not even mediocre. did they think he was someone they could "fix". i'm sure there have been others but can't remember a worse pitching performance.

They did it so I'd have to admit that I was wrong about Albert Abreu....!
