Malloy takes a cutter outside, ball 1.
FB yanked well outside at 95, 2-0
Cutter up in the zone near middle, bounced foul off 3rd, 2-1
FB waist high, middle-out, swung on and missed, got it right by him at 96. 2-2
FB misses outside, it backed up but didn't get to the corner, called strike 3 anyway, missed by 3 inches on Gameday, 0%. Nice break for Weaver, I takke is and run to the ꓘ bank, 1 down.

McKinstry misses a FB below middle, fouling it off.
Gets another near the top, just inside middle, gets under it to right, can o'corn for Soto, 2 down.

Sweeney takes a change at the knees, inside middle, 0-1
Swings under a 94 FB above the top, outside middle, 0-2
Takes change that bounced, 1-2
Bounces another one, almost the same spot, 2-2
Weird play, FB down the middle, hit hard to the right of 2nd, Torres moves fast to his backhand sorta goes down, spears it, tries to get up, the slide on s knee dead stops him, so his sidearm throw is way up the 1st base line to the RF side, DJ comes off to spear it and prevent the infield hit from becoming a hit and an error.

Cutter misses outside 3 of 4 inches, called a strike anyway, ridiculous call, not close, 2-2
FB yanked well outside, 3-2

Cutter up and in, popped back of 3rd, easy play for Peraza, Volpe calls him off, has it all the way...and simply drops it off the heel of his glove, Sweeney running on the pitch, gets to 3rd, Rogers gets back to 1st.
Terrible play by Volpe there.
