That awful strike call on Judge cost the Yankees a possible big inning. It hurt, but two guys had a chance to do damage. They didn't. |

Knuckle curve in a bad spot just below middle middle, but he fouls it, 0-2
Anothere curve in a better spot, but Carpenter nearly got it, hits a high fly to the wall in left, but Verdugo catches it a step from the wall. 2 down.

Vierling takes a FB low/away, ball 1
Takes a FB waist high, outside corner, 1-1, throwing 94-5 so far.
Low curve has Vierling a bit out front, he has to lunge at the curve to the knees, fouls it off. 1-2
FB near middle fouled.
Slider on the edge of the corner away, below the waist, tapped to 2nd, Torres fields, throws him out, inning over.
Easy 1st inning for Cole, just 9 pitches for the 1-2-3.
Top 2nd, 1-0 Yanks.
Trevino, LeMahieu and Peraza for the Yanks in the 2nd against...???

FB up and in straightens him up, 2-2
Sinker well low/outside, 3-2
Sinker closer but still low and away, ball 4. Good job, Jose.

FB down the middle, fouled, 0-2
Slider misses well low and outside, 1-2
Sinker down and in at 96, foul tipped into the mitt for the K, 1 down.

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but on the Tigers' broadcast that is forced on me they mentioned that Gio Urshela was DFA'd today.
