Stanton takes a sinker on the inside corner above the knees, 0-1
Takes a sinker below the knees, outside corner, 1-1
Takes a sinker 4-5 inches low, near middle, 2-1
Slider above the knees in the middle, Stanton rolls over to Sweeney, throws him out, inning over. Easy 1-2-3 for Hanifee in the 3rd, just 12 pitches and 29 through his 2 innings.
Bottom 3, 1-0 Yanks.
Rogers, then back to the top for Meadows and Carpenter for the Tigers in their half of the 3rd inning.

Cutter up and in, got under it, Vierling spins out of there, 3-2
FB well outside, at least 8 inches, Cole lucky, Vierling chases and misses way inside of it, strike 3.
Cole strikes out the side in the 3rd, but needs 18 pitches, 54 through 3.
Top 4, 1-0 Yanks
Hurter finally in the game, he'll faced Verdugo, Volpe and Trevino.

Sinker a bit lower gets the same 10% of the corner inside, this one is called, 1-1
Sinker near middle, ties him up a bit, chops it to Sweeney on the left of 2nd, throws him out, 1 down.

Change bounced further inside, he has to skip rope, 2-2

Volpe will never hit for a high average unless he has a better command of strike zone. He always seems to be down 1-2 in the count and he chases too many balls outside strike zone.
