For some reason, our hottest hitter not named Judge is out again. One has to wonder what the braintrust does if Dominguez comes out and goes 4 for 4. Right back to Scranton?

Skubal has obviously pitched well, but he has an average run support of 5.59 runs per game, including getting 8 runs four times and also games where the Tiggers scored 10, 13, and 15 for him.
Stroman has also been the benefactor of good run support, with the Yankees scoring 5.94 runs per game for him, including 8 runs 3 times and games with 10, 11, 15, and 16 runs.

In former Yankee news, former prospect Andres Chaparro has made his MLB with the Washington Nationals this week, playing in 5 games. He's 5 for 17 (.294) with an OBP of .368. The Yankees let the corner infielder go for nothing last offseason after hitting 25 HR in Scranton (.775 OPS). One has to wonder with our struggles to find production at both corners of the infield, whether we should have given this guy a shot when Rizzo was hurt last year.

With Peraza up here it would not be a bad idea to give Volpe a day off or 2 to get a rest and get his head together. He has been awful at the plate the past week. |

Well that's what the 27th man does because he's technically not on the roster. With Rice's struggles and Stanton not hitting a lick, one has to wonder if Dominguez has an outstanding game if they wouldn't make a roster move and go with DJ/O-Cab at first. |

With Peraza up here it would not be a bad idea to give Volpe a day off or 2 to get a rest and get his head together. He has been awful at the plate the past week. I honestly don't get why the Yankees treat Anthony Volpe like he's Juan Soto. I get the idea of letting players work through their struggles, but it almost seems like they're scared to let anyone spell him because we might find out they are better. |
