Saw that loss coming a mile away when I heard Leiter was on the mound. Another Cashman dumpster dive special.

I agree but who is the legitimate closer he should have got? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Honestly, I don't know the answer, but I know it isn't Holmes... I think the market just wasn't there. Leiter was a good pickup on paper but he's been hit or miss. I don't think Oakland was trading their closer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It seems like every team has a line of young kids who throw hard coming out of their bullpen and the Yankees have a line of guys breathing hard coming out of theirs.

Holmes will kill any chance this team has in the playoffs. At what point do they stop being stubborn and try something different?

I'd rather us miss the Playoffs and get better over the offseason than have that happen IN the Playoffs. You do realize every team in the Al has bullpen issues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Apparently Detroit doesn’t.

These five series were a golden opportunity to reclaim first place & create a little cushion with the O's. Instead, they lost 2 of the series and went just 8-7 against five bad teams. That's really frustrating.

You’re fooling yourself if you think this team is winning anything. The pen stinks, the starters are terrible inconsistent and it’s the same story with the offense for years now.

I know we're mad at the pen, but the offense scored two runs in the last two games. That's just asking for trouble late in games.

Leiter's WHIP since joining the Yanks is horrific--something in the 2.50 range.

Leiter's WHIP since joining the Yanks is horrific--something in the 2.50 range. Its right at 2.400. More alarming is he's allowed 16 hits in just 8.1 innings. He's garbage and a huge liability. By the by, recently DFA'd (and Cash's other brilliant deadline pickup) Enyel De Los Santos was pretty nearby at 2.526. Maybe Leiter should be DFA'd, too.
