Fouls a waist high FB on the inside corner, 0-1
Hanging slider in the middle, but Torkelson tops it foul off 3rd, 0-2
Slider well low and outside, 1-2
Slider even more low and away, 2-2
Slider on the edge of the low outside corner, foul tips it off the end of the bat.
FB misses low, outer 3rd, taken, 3-2. Trevino tried to pull it up again, but no sale.

Cutter waist high, inside corner, ties him up just enough so that he can't barrel, fly to right is an easy play for Soto, inning over.
OK, a short inning after all, thanks to the 1st pitch out to end the inning.

Big breaking curve winds up below and outside middle, rolled over toward the 56 hole, Sweeney stumbles and goes down as he fields, but has enough time to recover and throw out DJ, 1 down.

Takes a FB well high near middle, 1-1
Takes a sinker about 3 inches inside, called strike 2 anyway, Skubal got a break, 0% on Gameday, not close
FB above the zone, Peraza checks in time, 2-2
FB just inside above the middle fouled off.
Change at the bottom in the middle, lined toward the corner in left, but Vierling takes the right route and backhands it in the corner on the dead run, 2 down.

Almost the same sinker, doesn't square it up, his fliner to left center stays up for Meadows, who backhands it on the move to his right, inning over.
Bottom 3, 0-0.
Much more efficient inning for Skubal, 14 pitches, and 54 through 3.
Sweeney, Rogers and back to the top For Meadows for the Tigers in their half of the 3rd inning.
