Sooner or later it was bound to happen when you only have 2 guys on the team that can hit.

What a shame it would be to waste a solid effort by the bullpen on a night they were placed squarely behind the 8-ball. Ugh.

Their #9 hitter has a HR and two bunt singles. That has to be some kind of record.

Rochhio squares to bunt takes one up and away, ball 1. Square to bunt, sinker to the knees, bunts it foul back of the plate, 1-1 Turns and looks to 2nd, chasing Thomas back. Sinker misses low, inner half, 2-1 Sinker high, bunted 1/3 way up the 3rd base line, dies there, Wells bounces out has no play, eats it, 1st and 3rd, nobody out and this one is about to get blown open.

It's truly amazing how far DJL has fallen. I've got to think that Rumfield is a better option at first base.
I'm not even mad that our literal last reliever is spitting the bit. The game should have never gotten here.

Why not use Tonkin before Mayza?

The obvious question: "If you are going to use Tonkin now, why didn't you just start the inning with him?"

This bullpen is managed so bad. Doesn't help that Cash is crappy at his job but man.

Well, that was inevitable. If they can limit them here, at least we get the top of the order... Wishcasting, I think, donnie. Sinker outside, ball 1. Sinker low/away, 2-0 And another non-error misplay, Hard grounder to DJ, no contact play, he steps toward first, doesn't step on the bag, throws to 2nd for the force, Kwan slows down, nobody covers first, Volpe eats the ball and they might've doubled up Kwan, giving the Guardians ANOTHER FREE OUT. Thomas holds 3rd, for now. Boone out of options, winds up using Tonkin anyway for Ramirez. 1st and 3rd, 1 down, and the volcano is about to erupt.
