The old Noetsi swing softly and gently "steer the ball" away from the fielders! Only Soto has enough talent to employ Russ's technique. I really think he meant to do that too. |

Change thigh high, outside middle, popped to short left center, Volpe goes back and over a couple of steps, catches, 1 down.

1st pitch slider hangs outside and high to Noel, 1-0
Cutter on the inside corner, taken, 1-1. Noel didn't care for that call, but 25-30% on Gameday.
Slider stays outside, 2-1
FB at the top, foul tipped into the mitt, 2-2
Fb high in the middle, he doesn't chase, 3-2
Cutter up and in, jams him a bit, but he muscles a liner into left center, Judge lays up, and it falls in front of him for a single.

Nestor gets a favorable call on a 1st pitch FB about 3 inches inside, thigh high, 0% on Gameday called a strike anyway, 0-1
Takes advantage, getting him to roll over on a change to the corner low anda way, grounder right to Peraza jogs to 3rd for the force, inning over.
Not the easiest inning, but not that tough, 17 pitches and 66 through 5.
Bottom 5, 7-0 Yanks.
Judge, Stanton and Wells for the Yanks in the 5th.
Bug Bunny changeup specialist Pedro Avila into the game for Cleveland. He throws 4 other pitches, and can hit 94-5 on the Fb as well.
