Wow! I had no idea that would go!!! Slider just outside, almost hit off the end of the bat, keeps carrying. Freeman goes back to the wall and leaps, but it just gets into the netting over Monuement Park, Yanks lead goes to 5-0!!!
Pacify THAT, Vogt!!!

More well than that, pres, considering I thought that was just a fly to right center. And a belated good afternoon to you.

And THAT is why teams should be afraid of a healthy Stanton, when they decide to intentionally walk Aaron Judge!

Verdugo works the count to 3-2, spoils a splitter on the low inside corner,. Slider in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, he drops the bat, but the only one who's happy is Sandlin, as he (stop me if you've hear this one before), rolls it over to 2nd, Gimenez throws him out, inning over.
Yanks add 4 big runs, giving Cole much needed room as he faces the tough Brennan, Ramirez and J. Naylor for the Guardians in the 6th.
5-0 Yanks, going top 6. Stanton's 21st HR: 105.1 mph, 417 feet, 26° launch angle, a HR in 26 of 30 parks.

Brennan... Takes a FB waist high, outside corner. Goes after a slider at the bottom, pops to 3rd, easy play for OCab, 1 down.

Ramirez... FB misses down an in, ball 1. Curve misses just outside, ball 2. Slider misses outside, ball 3 FB misses outside, ball 4.
OK, if Cole's pitching around Ramirez there, that's not all that bright. I know Ramirez owns him, but he has a 5-run lead. The only excuse is if Boone already told Cole this is his last inning.

J.Naylor takes a slider outside, ball 1. Fouls off a cutter on the inner 3rd, 1-1 Knuckle Curve hangs up and away, and Ramirez steals 2nd, his 30th this year. Change tails to the same spot as the curve, 3-1. Sigh. FB on the outside corner waist high, taken, 3-2 Cole looks in, steps off. Gets under a curve, misses well out of teh zone up and away.
OK, Kay and Paulie, IS HE PITCHING AROUND NAYLOR, TOO? Pitching around has put him in a jam. An accidental flyball to the Porch by Noel here makes this a fight again. Blake goes out to give Cole a rest. Weaver warming in the Yankee pen.

Noel takes a cutter in the zone low/away, 0-1 Spins and throw to 2nd, Ramirez gets back. This might be Cole's last hitter, he's at 94 pitches now.
Curve chopped to the left of the mound, Torres has to backhand on the left side of 2nd, backtrack, step on the base, throws to first, I thought it took too long, but the ump says OUT, completing the 4-4-3 DP. I thought he beat the relay on 1st look, but the Guardians don't challenge.
Bottom 6, 5-0 Yanks Cole probably done at 95 pitches after 14 in the 6th.
7-8-9 for the Yanks: Volpe, Cabrera and Rice.

Connor Gillespie, who wasn't with the team until today, comes in to pitch the 6th.
Volpe takes a FB way high, 1-0 FB in the zone above and outside middle, he's late and under, fouls it off. 1-1 FB runs 5-6 inches inside, taken, 2-1 FB at the top in the middle at 91, takes a big hack, fouls it back. 2-2. Gets way under a slider misses way high, 3-2 FB about 8 inches high, inside middle, Volpe lays off, ball 4. Leaoff walk for Volpe.

Cabrera gets a cutter inner3rd, pulls it hard toward the 34 hole, Gimenez tracks left with his glove on the ground, picks it, throws out Cabrera. Took a hit away, and a 1st and 3rd with nobody out. 1 out, Volpe at 2nd for Rice.
