Judge's 1.195 OPS would be the highest in the AL since Mark McGwire in 1996. If you affix an asterisk to that for juicing, it's Frank Thomas in 1994.
It's the highest in MLB since Bonds 2004, again asterisk, so that would revert to Thomas in 1994, too.
If you wanna throw a "full season" caveat on there with 1994 shortened by the strike, you have to go all the way back to Ted Williams in 1957 at 1.257 for both the AL & MLB. He's truly having a season for the ages.
Unbelievably, Teddy Ballgame achieved that at 38 years of age. He was remarkable...for a Red Sox player.

Tovar is 0-1 vs. Cousins. Chases a bad slider well low and outside, 0-1 Doesn't chase a worse slider, 1-1

Chases the same slider on 1-1 that he chased on the first pitch, 1-2 on Tovar. Slider is closer to the corner low and away, but Tovar is still over and inside it, K's, 1 down.

Rodgers 0-1 vs. Cousins with a K Takes a sinker on the inside corner for a strike, 0-1 Takes a slider way outside and low, 1-1.

Sinker runs inside, fouled down, 1-2. Kahnle warming for...I dunno. Slider way outside, 2-2 Slider pretty much bounced outside, 3-2 on Rodgers. Sinker above middle middle, late, fouled off.

Guess slider by count/location, gets the sinker backing into the zone low/away, ꓘ, 2 down. Pitched him backwards there, and won.

Doyle... 1st pitch slider in the zone near the low outside corner, popped off the end of the bat to short right, Soto comes in, but Torres goes back, calls, catches, inning over. 1-2-3 for Cousins on 12 pitches. Bottom 8, 3-0 Yanks
Soto, Judge and Stanton for the Yanks in the 8th. Vs. Criswell? I don't know...watch and see.

I wonder if Boone will go to Kahnle for the 9th, even if it's still 3-0...

Easy peasy for Cousins.

1st pitch to Soto is a waist high sinker about 3-4 inches outside, hit off the end of the bat up the middle, Tovar right there back of 2nd, throws him out, 1 down.

FB up and in buzzes the tower, Judge leans back. Takes a huge rip on a slider in the zone up and in, missed under, 1-1 Slider thigh high, inside, corner, popped high on the left side, McMahon there, 2 down.

Stanton takes a slider just outside, above the knees, doesn't even flinch, 1-0 Slider backs up inside, Stanton starts, can't check in time, 1-1 Another bad call for the Rockies. FB was supposed to be inside, but hits the zone above the knees outer half, doesn't get the call right, ball 2. 100% on Gameday. FB inside middle, Stanton foul tips it. Has to start the bat earlier, and chases a bad slider low/away, typical Stantonian late-career chase, K, inning over.
Top 9, 3-0 Yanks. Let's see who Boone goes to here. 4-5-6 for the Rockies in the 9th: McMahon, Toglia and Stallings or a PH. And it's Holmes, as usual. So much for taking a look at Kahnle in the role.

Get it over sinker at 98, outer 3rd, 2-1. Slider misses down and in, 3-1. Ruh roh, Shaggy.
