after HRs in 2 consecutive games, stanton surprisingly sits. maybe it's because it's a RH pitcher or he's played 4 in a row and they're still "babying" him. guess they weigh giving a judge a day off in the field more than having G's bat in the lineup. with warren pitching, i'd want as much offense as i can get. the bottom 3 in the lineup is rather weak so having said that, they'll prove me wrong. but it is good the have jazz back out there. It doesn't make any sense. When does Verdugo get a day off? Against a tough lefty like Skubal? Oh, wait...  |

Hangs the slider down the middle, above the knees, hammered to deep left over Verdugo, no chance, one-hops to the wall, easy 1-out double.
More bad location from Warren.

Warren looks in, steps off, bluffs Tovar back to 2nd.
FB misses outside at 96, 1-1
Wow.
FB backs over the plate just outside and below middle, but Doyle takes, 1-2
Cutter 4-6 inches below the outside corner, chases and fouls it down.
FB yanked six inches outside above the waist, taken, 2-2
Backs the FB over the outer 3rd, Doyle on it, fouls it back to the right.
Slider starts for the outer 3rd, Doyle watches it break low/away, 3-2
FB in the zone, inside corner, below the top, fouled back.
Warren needs a pitch that drops that he can command.

Sinker on the outside corner thigh high, lined hard to left, Verdugo charges, plays it on the short hop, fires home, it's in time, but Wells can't catch the bounce and Tovar scores, 1-0 Rockies.

Splitter hangs outside near the top, Soto fouls it off. 2-2
FB up and in jams him, check swing flare just over the pitcher, dies behind the mound, Rodgers charges, and barehands, but Soto beats the throw, infield hit. 1st and 2nd, nobody out for Judge.
