Bounces a FB outer half, 1-0 on Verdugo. Jams him with a FB on the inner 3rd, he's under it, pops to Jones in shortish left center, 2 down.

I don't like the "feel" of this game Just too many easy outs in this Yankee lineup. It will get really exposed in the playoffs.

DJ... Takes a change well outside, 1-0 FB above middle, tries to inside out it, tops it to Rodgers, throws him out. All-too-easy 1-2-3 for Gomber in the 6th, and he might not be done yet, 10 pitches and 85 through 6.
Top 7, and as Kahnle had to throw the 9th yesterday, he might not be able to go further despite the short inning in the 6th. For the Rockies in the 7th, it's Romo, then back to the top for Blackmon and Tovar.

The way this team plays down to their competition is infuriating. I guess it's kind of common in baseball this year. Don't think there's a big gap between the "good" and "bad" teams.

Kahnle stays in, for now. Change misses low, 1-0 on Romo Takes a meatball, a FB below middle middle, 1-1 Change bounced outside middle, 2-1. Change at the knees, fouled off, 2-2

Change dives just outside at the knees, topped to 1st, DJ flips to Kahnle, 1 down.

16 pitches for Kahnle now... Blackmon... Takes a change low, ball 1. Takes a change that bounced, 2-0. Watch out on a get it over FB here...

Nope, misses low with another change, 3-0 Green light here, I'm fairly sure. FB not quite get it over, waist high, outer 3rd, 3-1 GOOD FB with some tail, hits the corner low/away, taken, 3-2 Change to more or less the same spot as the 3-1 FB, fouled. Change tails outside, Blackmon spits on it, ball 4.

Blackmon is 5 for 7 stealing bases this year. Boone goes to lift Kahnle. Cousins coming in.
Yanks really trying Cousins in the "fireman" role for his wipeout slider and good tailing sinker. Let's see if it works. Weaver got this job a month ago, and before. Drawback: Runners are 3 for 3 vs. Cousins, and Trevino has thrown out just 12 of 555, 22%.
