And for no reason I can fathom, he gives McMahon a cutter waist high, inside corner, and he jumps all over it, lucky he barrelled it TOO well, because it's not a game-tying HR, but a RBI double, scoring Doyle, 4-3 Yanks.

1st pitch to Rogers is a sinker on the low outside corner, rolled over to Chisholm, McMahon gets there at the same time and leaps over the ball as a distraction, but Chisholm shows poise, fields it and throws him out to end the inning.
Stroman makes it through 5, but...
Now, it's a game again, and Gomber has looked good the last two innings.
And, do we believe the pen can hold a 1 run lead for 12 outs, even against the Rockies?

Torres gets a FB below and inside middle on the 1st pitch, and misses a bit late and under, flies out to Doyle in right center, 1 pitch, 1 out.

Let 2 very hittable fastballs go by, I hope he gets another.
FB low/away, 1-2
Curve bounced near the corner away, 2-2
Slider misses outside 4-5 inches, and I think the Rockies dugout is complaining, but it wasn't close.
Loses a curve way up and in, Soto goes to the ground because it started at him, but it was so high, it wasn't close to hitting him, ball 4.

FB 6-7 inches outside, thigh high. Nothing close to the zone, all 4 pitches 4 inches outside or more.
1st and 2nd, 1 down for any grounder near a fielder is an inning ending DP Stanton.

Wouldn't trust Stroman in the postseason at all. If they're lucky, the postseason rotation is Cole-Rodon-Gil-Schmidt. |

Change drops into the very top of the zone in the middle, he started but held up, 0-1
Change misses low in the middle, taken, 1-1
Curve dives in on him, he swings and it shatters the bat, the bloop falls in front of Jones in left for a cheap single, bases loaded, 1 out.
A big piece of the bat came around on Stanton's follow-through and nailed HP ump Mahnley on the side of the head/mask, and he's being looked at by the trainers.

Okay, all the players have left the field, and it looks like Mahnley is going to have to leave the game, and if he's "lucky" it's "just a concussion", and not something worse. The teams have left the field, while the EMI people take Mahley off by wheeled stretcher and to the hospital to get checked. 3rd base ump Wendlestedt will have to down the HP gear and take over behind the plate.
