Stanton takes a sinker in the zone down and in, 0-1 Sinker on the low inside corner, fouled down, 0-1 Back leg chagne, Stanton skips rope, 1-2 Sinker at 100 way inside, has to step back with the back leg, 2-2 Sinker at the bottom hammered down 3rd, it's a double if not right at Tena, but it is, so it's a double play, 5-4-3, inning over.
Bottom 9, 5-2 Yanks. Holmes will be coming in to try to close it out; he'll face Ruiz, Yepez and Tena, at least.

Sox trying to come back, trail the Jays 5-3, top 9 in Fenway in the regular game. Rays in Seattle starting about 15 minutes from now.

Chisholm takes a sinker on the low outside corner, 0-1 Hanging slider inside middle, belted high to deep right, gets into THAT bullpen, solo HR makes it 5-1 Yanks, as they answer the Yepez HR with one of their own!!

She lights up his life. In one of my more quixotic assignments in my reporting days, I once had lunch with Debby Boone and Rich Little and two other reporters. They were appearing at the long-gone Valley Forge Music Fair and a few local papers were invited to meet them and review the show. Little was absolutely hilarious and very talkative. Debby was quite reserved but very sweet. The six degrees of Kevin Bacon or the five degrees of Pipps! I loved Rich Little as a kid. Man, did he hit every talk show circuit of the 1970s, plus a perennial of the Dean Martin Roasts.

Cousins is just at 13 pitches, I'd leave him in. But it's Holmes in for the save.

Catching up late again: Chisholm's 21st HR: 106.7 mph, 391 feet, 24° launch angle, a HR in all 30 parks.

judge doubles into corner for his 1000th career hit. also first hit of the game. Only 2,465 behind Derek Jeter for the all-time Yankee lead. Well, that's one that won't be broken by Judge.

Holmes to Ruiz... Slider in the zone down and in, taken, 0-1 Slider bounced, inner half, 1-1 Misses a slider on the corner away, 1-2 Slider misses just outside, taken, 2-2 Slider below middle, bounced foul off 1st. Slider well low, chased and fouled. 6 straight sliders for the sinkerballer.

Slider above middle, fouled. You have to SHOW a sinker once in a while, Clay.
