Slider bounced inside. I mean once in a while, it's oK to throw 3 or 4 of the same pitch in a row, but 8, 9 in a row?

Sinker clips the outside corner above the knees, not all that generous, Ryan, 15-20% on Gameday.

Slider waist high outside, on it, but late, slaps it foul off 3rd.
Sinker outer 3rd, 96, waist high, spoils it.

In one of my more quixotic assignments in my reporting days, I once had lunch with Debby Boone and Rich Little and two other reporters. They were appearing at the long-gone Valley Forge Music Fair and a few local papers were invited to meet them and review the show. Little was absolutely hilarious and very talkative. Debby was quite reserved but very sweet. The six degrees of Kevin Bacon or the five degrees of Pipps! I loved Rich Little as a kid. Man, did he hit every talk show circuit of the 1970s, plus a perennial of the Dean Martin Roasts. Excellent impressionist. Very affable, and he actually practiced a few of his impressions that he was going to do that night at lunch. And then he did impressions of we three ink-stained wretches. It was amazing to see how quickly he picked up mannerisms and vocal inflections. |

Tena takes a sharp dropping slider in the zone down and in, 0-1
Sinker way low, tapped up the 1st base line, Holmes gets over quickly, then tries to flip OVER Tena, it's high, DJ goes up, comes down just in time, game over. Whew.
Lookit Holmes with a 1-2-3 9th for a save!! Hot doggies!!
