It's amazing how so many of today's hitters swing through so many mediocre pitchers. Judge had a fastball more or less down the middle on 1-1 and he swung through it. And he's one of the best ones. So many struggles to just put a ball in play. |

Wood lines the first pitch to left for a single. Wells has got to settle Rodon down.
And here's the Sens #3 hitter, Andres Chaparro. He could be out there in the road grays if the Yankees trusted their players.

Rodon throws back to back pitches in the dirt and Wood goes from first to third. Boone might want to get someone up in the pen.

Rodon dirts a third pitch to Chapparo and he walks. The only pitch that seems to be working for Rodon is his change. Wells will have to have him work off the change to get outs.

Now, Rodon gets called for a balk. The only thing left for Rodon to go completely get off track is for Washington to release the midges. (Or the Gnats).

Yepez swings through a high fastball, is in front of the change pulled foul. Prime still doesn't have the count right. Rodon gets the 2-2 slider too far up in the zone but Yepez lines it foul. High cheese also fouled off, remains 2-2. A better slider that breaks on 2 planes, and Yepez pops it to Volpe for the first out. YAY!
