I have a bad feeling he won't be up Sept 1st and I'm going to be pissed.  A chance of a possible draft pick is more important than winning. I'm pretty sure they're not calling him up. Probably will add Berti when ready. But then, I'm a pessimist about Yankee front office decisiions. |

Change on the corner away, pulled hard toward the 34 hole, but Torres is playing him to pull, he dives to his left, spears it, rolls over to a knee, throws off-balance, gets him, inning over. Excellent play by Gleyber there to take the hit away, and prevent Goldschmidt coming up as the go-ahead run.
Bottom 8, 4-3 Yanks.
Top of the order for the Yanks: Gleyber leads off after his fine play, then Soto and Judge against the righty O'Brien.

Curve on the low outside corner, very weak swing, hits a flare off the end of the bat, and it falls in, in front of Scott for a hit.
That's not a "B"swing, Paulie. That's a "C" swing. maybe a D.

Why not see if Martian is that player? Could make a huge difference in their postseason run. Bafflingly incompetent if they dont try him out. |

Soto takes a sinker bounced inside, 1-0
Slider at the top inside corner, fouled, 1-1
Sinker in the zone low/away at 97, late and fouled off the left side, 1-2
Slider well inside, taken, 2-2
Curve stays up, waist high, inside corner, but Soto tops it foul off 1st.
Chaes a terrible sinker outside, can't check in time, K, 1 down. 3rd base ump rings him up, bat crosses home I think from top view I think.

Judge takes a curve bounced outside, ball 1
Takes a slider low/away, 2-0
Sinker waist high, outer 3rd, taken, 2-1
Slider outside 4-5 inches, and let's see here...yep, it's a ball. Pages held the ball, and Bucknor restrained himself, 3-1
Judge tries to check on a slider well out of the zone low/away, and the 1st base ump says he swung, Side view backs it up, he went.
Chases another slider low/away, K, and a hat trick for Judge, 2 down.
