Chisholm goes after a 1st pitch change below the knees, rolls it over to 2nd, Donovan throws him out and Stanton gets all the way to 3rd!! With 1 down.

Cuutter at the knees, not called, Volpe gets a small break, 10% on Gamday, 1-0 Fouls off a sinker inside. Takes a sinker high, 2-1 Cutter below and inside middle, Volpe inside outs a fly near the track in right, Walker catches, Stanton tags, the throw home is...offline, I guess, because Goldschmidt cuts it off for no real reason, 1-0 Yanks on Volpe's sac fly! Good job, Anthony.

Rice takes a sinker outside, 1-0 Gets a cutter down the middle and misses under, flyball to left of center is an easy play for Scott, inning over.
Top 3, 1-0 Yanks. 12 pitches for Fedde in the 2nd, 30 through 2. Scott, then back to the top for Wynn and Burleson for the Cards in the 3rd.

Ugh, I remember that game. The Yankees were losing to Bob Gibson 2-0 and the Yankees had one on and two out in the bottom of the ninth when Tom Tresh tied it with a dramatic home run to right center. The fans in left field gave him a prolonged ovation when he took his position in the top of the tenth. Unfortunately Tim McCarver crushed a three-run homer off of Pete Mikkelsen in the tenth and that 5-2 lead held up to give the Cardinals a 3-2 series lead. Games four and five were so frustratingly winnable for the Yanks, but they fumbled away both of them in losing the series four games to three. Still bothers me.

Scott takes a slurve inside middle, 0-1 Takes a curve well out of the zone down and in, 1-1 Cutter misses inside at the knees, Scott chases and misses, 1-2 Cutter to the low, outside corner, rolled over to Torres, waits a beat for Rice to cover, throws out Scott, 1 down.

Volpe gets it done and the Yanks play small ball for a run. I missed the inning. Amazing that Stanton went to third on a groundball and scored on a sac fly.

Burleson takes a huge hack at a splitter to the knees, helmet flies off, missed it, 0-1 Sinker low, outside middle, Burleson scoops it off the end of the bat, the flare falls in right center for a 2 out single, no chance for Soto to get there.

Burleson doesn't look like a basestealer, but he's 9 for 12 this year. Arenado takes a slider in the zone low/away, 0-1 Takes a sinker well outside above the knees, 1-1 Splitter dives way inside, taken, 2-1 Backs the sinker on the corner away, Areanado lines it out of reach of Volpe for a single to left, Burleson stops at 2nd with 2 down for Donavan.

Splitter dives above the knees near middle, Donovan early, bounces it foul off 1st, 0-1 Slurve drops way low and a bit outside, 1-1 Stroman looks in for a long time, then wheels and tries to pick Burleson, but he gets back easily. Splitter tails well outside, taken, 2-1 Slider drops into the top of the zone in the middle, taken, 2-2 One more good pitch, Marcus.
